- From 8:30-8:45 a.m. students meet with their advisor. During this time, students also have study hall. Once a week, there is an assembly during this period.
- School ends at 2:30 on Fridays.
- Foreign languages: Beginning in the 7th grade, all students have English and German as both subjects and as a medium of instruction, as well as an additional language that has begun in primary school: either Spanish or French. As of the 9th grade, students have the option of taking an additional foreign language, either French, Spanish or Chinese.
- Study halls are integrated in individual class periods.
- Ethics: Berlin Kids International School is a non-denominational, non-sectarian school. As such, it uses the Berlin State Curriculum as a framework for Ethics.
