The goal of BERLIN KIDS INTERNATIONAL School is to provide a high-quality German-English education from the first grade for children from all income levels. BERLIN KIDS INTERNATIONAL School is an independent state-funded school, operated by the non-profit Pfefferwerk gGmbH. As these sources of income can not fully cover expenses, we seek corporate partners, private donors and public opinion leaders who will work with us to support the advancement of bi-lingual education in Berlin.

For us, the ability to work with modern technology at a grade school level and integrate this knowledge into daily lessons promotes comprehension, concentration and creativity. An early acquaintance with computer and mass media technology furthers an independent and enlightened approach towards media and its role in daily life.
The first computer project undertaken at BERLIN KIDS INTERNATIONAL School involved short films related to a term project about trains. The pupils learned how to write a film plot, how to collect props and create background pictures, how to turn still photos into moving pictures and how to use text and sound in a film. The impressive results – MOVIES about ghosts and speeding trains, as well as trains in Africa, outer space and in the ocean – were shown at a special afternoon film screening that included the donor, parents and lots of popcorn. A hearty thanks to Bombardier!
