We welcome you to the BERLIN KIDS INTERNATIONAL School (BKIS), a dynamic English-German bilingual school located in eastern Berlin. Founded by bilingual families working with the Pfefferwerk Stadtkultur gGmbH, the school offers affordable international education to families who have come from around the globe to settle in the German capital.
BKIS currently houses years 1-6 in its primary school. In 2012, the first Year 7 class will lead the expansion into secondary education. In 2018, the first students will graduate with a bilingual Abitur.

Key features of the primary program include: mixed-age classes through grade 4; a school day interspersed with elective activities and play; and an individualized approach to teaching and learning.

We are both local and international—in our choice of curricula, teaching staff and outlook. We believe that the cultural and linguistic diversity within the school enriches our program and encourage our entire community to take an active part in school life and contribute to the development of our strongest asset – our children.
